By using this app, you can set your child on the path to reading success. This app offers 3 levels of sequential learning specifically designed for English learners. The carefully planned sequence guides learners from basic concepts to more advanced ones. It starts by focusing on sounds and eventually introduces letter symbols for both lowercase and uppercase letters. Each level features a lesson that targets a specific step of the Alphabetic Principle.

The app presents 4 word pictures for each letter, with each word using the most commonly associated sound. For example, "igloo" and "inchworm" are used for the letter "i," excluding less common words such as "ice" or "ivy" that begin with a long "i" sound. Teaching the most frequently used sound first is crucial in the early stages of literacy development.

In some instances, unfamiliar words are included to ensure that each letter has 4 associated words. This provides an opportunity for vocabulary expansion. Even if your child doesn't recognize the word, they can still focus on identifying the beginning sound of the image. Importantly, this app is not a vocabulary quiz or an object guessing game. If some images appear unclear, don't worry. Tapping on the image will always play an audio file that names the corresponding object.

It's worth noting that this app exclusively focuses on the sounds of the letters and doesn't rely on letter names. While knowing the names of the letters is important, this app emphasizes phonetic reading skills. By dedicating itself to teaching the sounds of the letters, it fills a crucial gap in explicit instruction that many children may not have received.

All games in this app are designed to be completed independently once children understand the basic instructions. Built-in feedback mechanisms support independent learning, allowing children to progress at their own pace and in their own style.
